Storyteller with steady presence

“With me, you experience the place as someone who belongs.”

How would a guest describe you after spending a few days traveling with you?

Probably as someone calm and easy to be around. I think they would say they felt looked after, but not rushed or managed. More like traveling with a local friend who knows when to talk andnwhen to give space.

What made you fall in love with Czechia — or keep falling back in love with it?

Even though I’m from Czechia and still live here, I keep rediscovering it through other people’s eyes. When guests notice small things I usually take for granted, it reminds me how much character and quiet beauty there is in everyday life here. It makes familiar places feel fresh again.

What does being a host mean to you when traveling with guests?

For me it’s about attention. Watching how people feel, not just where they are. Making sure they feel comfortable enough to ask questions, be quiet, laugh, or change plans if the moment asks for it.

Can you share a moment from a journey that really stayed with you?

Once we stopped for coffee in a place that wasn’t planned at all. It started raining, nobody was in a hurry, and the group just stayed there talking for almost an hour. No sightseeing, just a shared pause, and everyone remembered that moment most.

How do you know when it’s time to slow down — or simply stay a little longer?

You can feel it in the group. When people stop checking their phones and stop asking what’s next. That’s usually the sign that the place is doing its work on its own.

What’s a small, everyday Czech moment you love sharing with guests?

Sitting down for something simple like soup or chlebíček (Czech sandwich:) and not rushing it. Letting people notice how much Czechs value these ordinary moments. It often feels more real than any highlight. And then a glass of famous Czech beer with a nice view of course...:)

If guests remember just one feeling from your tour, what do you hope it will be?

That they felt at ease. Like they didn’t just visit a place, but were briefly part of it.
